Versatile 3mm Low Cut Tropical Booties from IST are a great choice, with or without fins, for diving, snorkeling, watercraft-wear or just beach combing. Low cut, (but high enough to protect your ankles), lightweight but rugged and sturdy, these boots feature glued and blind stitched seams to minimize water flushing and vulcanized sole and heel caps with stopper for better grip on fins. Or, without fins they’re thick enough for protection and traction on slippery rocks. Great for use with open-heel swim fins, they’re light, durable with great mobility. You can even throw them in the washer – they wash-up beautifully!

Answer	Size 7 weight about 1 pound on this.

Question	are these shoes/boots good for use with open heel swim fins and if not what can you recommend. looking for men sizes 1 and 12 and women sizes 5 and 8.5. ideally would like something that gives foot a little protection/padding.

Question	what exactly is the sizing chart? i wear an 8 in womens. would that be a 6 here?
Answer	You go a size down. Since you are an 8 in women's size, you'd be a 7 in men's size.

Question	Where are these shoes made?
Answer	They are made in Taiwan

I think these are the perfect boot! They are soooo comfortable & flexible and the rubber sole is thick enough to protect you from rough surfaces. The boot comes up high enough to protect your ankles as well. Just throw them in the washer... they wash up beautifully...no dryer, though.
I had an almost identical pair that lasted for years and years. I hope these will do the same.
