This was not likely designed by a diver... it appears to be a copy of a Buck design marketed initially to climbers a few years ago. My son has the Buck version and, other than a broken tip due to abuse, has stood up quite well. The Buck version's blade started to show small areas of corrosion on the blade even without salt water immersion.
