ABOUT INTERCHANGEABLE PRESCRIPTION LENSES FROM SEAVENGER.

We answered the need early-on for prescription mask lenses. A pioneer innovator in supplying prescription diving mask lenses, Seavenger.com offers a range of interchangeable lenses in clear, tinted and optical prescription choices including bi-focal diopters. These high-end lenses from manufacturers such as IST and Tilos can be fitted to a variety of different mask styles and facial profiles, including children. Clear lenses are made from super-transparent glass, and offer stunning panoramic underwater viewing, as well as gauge reader bifocal diopters available on select masks. Prescription lenses range from -1.0 to -8.0 for divers who are near-sighted, and +1.0 and 4.0 for those who are far-sighted. A selection of tinted lenses offer sharp clear vision and drastically reduced glare both on the surface, and underwater. It comes in a variety of colors, and is a super high quality mask throughout. It features glass positive diopter, and black silicone skirt blocks light from reflecting off the lens. Lenses are tempered glass, which is great not only for safety and scratch-resistance but clarity of vision. Twin windows are ideal for clearing of trapped water and maximum vision – The Corona is a versatile mask for scuba diving as well as snorkeling. Available in Blue, Black, Black Silicone and Yellow.



Corona has been one of the most popular masks in the IST range. The reason for its popularity is its fitting, which is superior in comfort than others. The swivel buckle allows the diver to adjust the mask to the most desirable position. It is low in volume and gives a great field of vision.

Question Are corrective lenses for Corona dive masks side specific?

Answer The Corona's lenses can be ordered with specific prescriptions for either side.


Question I'm looking for a nice quality corrective lens mask for my 10 year old son. The Twingo mask for children does not have the lens rx we need so I was looking at the corona. Will this fit a child's face or do you recommend another style?

The Twingo is the only mask we have specifically for children. This mask might work, but it still might be big for a 10 year old.


Question Is the correction in the + lenses across the full lens or is it only a partial lens - like a reader or similar?

Are the IST corrective lenses available for the Panorama mask?
Answer It is across full lens, and yes corrective lens is available on Panorama mask.


Question Are the corrective lenses fitted in addition to the standard lenses (some kind of glue-on) or do they replace the standard lens.
Answer They are not glue-on, they are replacement for the standard lenses.

I ordered the Corona dive mask and two other products of which I am thoroughly happy with. The only issue I had was with the dive mask which the silicone mask was seperated at the point where it attaches to the glass. Rather than sending it back I opted to contact customer service to see if this was something I could fix myself. Customer service was excellent in handling the situation. They sent me very clear picture diagrams and directions (via email) on taking out the glass and resealing the the mask. The great thing about this is that I now know how to fully disassemble the mask to clean it and put it back together. At first I was not happy but in the end with Seavengers service I am completely satisfied and would further recommend them to anyone wishing to purchase gear from them. Thank you

I haven't used it yet, but it is nicely constructed. Also, it's great to get + diopter lenses made of glass.

I was thrilled to find a prescription mask with positive diopter correction - not easy to find! And I was happy that the lenses had been inserted for me. The mask was somewhat heavy, but comfortable. However I found it leaked - not sure if it was the seal around my face or the way the news lenses had been put in. That was frustrating. In the end, being able to see clearly meant more to me, so I still rate it highly.

The special advantage of this mask is it is available with positive diopter tempered glass lenses for us older seadogs and the less common far sighted folks. The glass is much more forgiving of abrasion than plastic lenses like SeaVision. Manyplastic lenses have been ruined by the unaware polishing the lens with baking soda paste or toothpaste, which you MUST thoroughly do with new glass lenses. I bought, and always buy, the black silicone for better vision underwater because it blocks reflected light that would come through a clear skirt. IST has not been keeping their dealers stocked with positive diopter lenses. I was so happy to find Seavenger had some, as other dealers were backordered. IST Corona is a great mask at a great price! No leaks, even with my whiskery face and stray hairs. Buy it. Better yet, buy two- I did.
