Submited By: Anonymous on 09/24/2012 This data transfer cable for the IST GP 3000 dive computer is a very poor piece of equipment. The design of the "clip" is very poor. There is a metal "C" spring which is supposed to hold the 2 sides of the clamp together, but it often comes off and you have to futz with it to get it back together. The contact points on the clamp must be precisely placed on the contact points of the computer, otherwise the data won't transfer. Finally, and perhaps the biggest problem of all is the fact that the cable will only download into a PC with Windows XP. If you have a version of Windows any newer than XP, or a Mac, you cannot download your dive data. Fortunately, I have XP on a partitioned area of my Mac Book. I like the computer, but the next time I buy one, I will make sure it is compatible with a current version of Windows, and/or Mac OS.
