This blade is full tang with elastic leather paint molded around the grip, this whole thing is stainless steel.

Stainless steel 420 is an ideal material for divers knives, but it is not completely free from rusting.

Remember to wash blade thoroughly with fresh water, and dry it completely, if you have silicone oil or  something alike you can coat it and it can be effectively prevent the blade from rusting.
