Size L may be too snug in this fin. This fin by IST may fit you better in a size L/XL. The FK30 is longer, and heavier than the Reef Tourer, but we feel you will get better performance out of the FK30. The FK30 is 20" long and 2.2lbs, whereas the Reef Tourer is 10-3/4" long, and 2.05 lbs, top of foot pocket to end of fin.

We do not carry the US divers travel fin, but from what we can see from online photos and description, our TUSA Reef Tourer which you referenced features a more open heal design, and the M should fit your women's size 9 and accommodate a booty. Likewise, the men's
size 11 will accommodate a booty, and he will take a L.

The fins you referenced are an open-heel adjustable strap fin which are better with socks or booties. For swimming, you probably want a full foot fin like these which don't need socks and are lighter.
